The Miracle of the Miracle "Nes HaNes"

A Nes has occurred to the Hebrew language and

it is resurrected from oblivion.

In it there is one little word -Nes- with only two consecutive letters.

A word consisting only of a line and a circle.

And in "her" all the world's wisdom is embedded.

Look what a heavy burden from heaven was put upon "her".

And the word carried it on "her" back bravely.

And nobody knows the secret of her strength:

The miracle of the Jewish Exodus from Egypt,

the miracle of Hanukkah,

the miracle of the Holocaust survivors,

and the miracle of the Warsaw Ghetto revolt.

The miracle of the building of an Israeli State,

and the miracle of all of us sitting here together.

How is it possible, then, to count for all the deeds of this little word?

Even for me personally, "she" must have worked extra hours.

How much strength is contained in this little one,

and how much strength and belief "she" awakens in those

walking at the front of their people.

There are those who wait longingly for "her" to save them,

and there are those who maintain that they do not need "her",

but also they use miracles to grasp it.

Again and again when all seems lost,

the little word resurrects in you

wearing humbly "her" only two letters:

The two fundamental shapes, a line and a circle

"one and zero" – which are the source of all computations,

progress and computers –

and feels "her" role with perfect loyalty.

And even when we turn "her" upside down

"she" still remains perfect (10).

There are those who say that up in heaven

a special place is kept for "her".

"She" asked for a rest for "her" spirit

but there is no one to replace "her".

Even God himself looks fondly at this word

and wonders, how was this little one created?
